Hello San Jose! I am Jacob Daul, a seminarian for the Diocese of St. Augustine, and in my sixth year of priestly formation. I was born in Jacksonville, and grew up in Middleburg. My family and I went to St. Catherine’s church in Orange Park faithfully, and it was at this parish that I began to take my faith life seriously in my teen years. After graduating from high school in 2018, I entered seminary. During this first stage of formation, I spent three years studying philosophy at St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami. In 2021, I started my next track of studies at Theological College – the seminary attached to the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Looking ahead, it brings me great joy to be able to spend this next year of formation at San Jose, walking with the strong Christian community that I found here this past weekend. I look forward to growing closer to Christ with all of you!
