Altar Servers

Purpose/Responsibilities:  To assist the priest at liturgy on Sunday, at weddings, funerals and on important feast days of the year. 

Time/Skills: Scheduled at least once a month. Boys and girls age nine and older who have celebrated First Eucharist are eligible.  Training is provided.

Monaguillos

Asisten al sacerdote en la liturgia dominical, bodas, funerales y fiestas importantes.

Servirán por lo menos una vez al mes. Son elegibles los que hayan hecho la Primera Comunión.

Lectors

Purpose/Responsibilities: To proclaim the Word of God at Sunday and other liturgical celebrations.

 Time/Skills:  Each lector usually serves about once a month.  The group meets periodically as needed.  Workshop on proclamation and presentation required. Completion of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation is recommended.

Ushers

Purpose/Responsibilities: To assist with seating, take up the collection.

Time/Skills:  Flexible time commitment, usually once or twice a month.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Purpose/Responsibilities:  To give communion–the Body and Blood of Christ–at liturgy on Sundays, holy days and other liturgical celebrations.

Time/Skills:  Usually scheduled at least once a month, substitute as needed.   Training in the ministry and spiritual formation regarding this sacrament are required.   Upon completion of training, the participant will be commissioned by the Bishop.

Los Ministros Extraordinarios De Santa Comunión

Dar la comunión-el cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo- en la liturgia los domingos, días de obligación u otras celebraciones litúrgicas. 

Tiempo-Requisitos: Usualmente el horario es una vez al mes, sustituir según sea necesario, se requiere entrenamiento en el ministerio y formación espiritual sobre este sacramento.  La persona necesita tener todos los sacramentos de iniciación y si esta casado necesita el sacramento del matrimonio..  Al completar el entrenamiento el  participante será comisionado por el Obispo.

Greeting Ministry

Purpose/Responsibilities:  To welcome all at weekend liturgies; to assist in distributing bulletins and other materials before and after mass as needed.

Time/Skills:  Once or twice per month, 20-30 minutes before and after mass. Greeters should be outgoing, friendly, and hospitable.

Ministerio de Bienvenida

Dar la bienvenida a los feligreses en las liturgias de los fines de semana, repartir el boletín o cualquier otro material antes o después de la misa.

Tiempo/Requisitos: Las personas deben de estar 20-30 minutos antes de la misa y después de la misa.  Los saludadores deben de ser amistosos y hospitalarios.

Children’s Liturgy of The Word

Purpose/Responsibilities:  To celebrate the Word by proclaiming from the Children’s Lectionary to children, kindergarten-4th grade. To encourage children to reflect on what they have heard and on how they may use The Word in their daily lives with their family, friends and community.

Time/Skills: While this ministry is weekly, September through May, during the Celebration of the Liturgy at the 10:30 a.m. Mass, leaders serve once a month or as needed. Orientation is available for leaders. Youth volunteers, 8th grade and older are welcomed to assist with the children.

Liturgia De La Palabra Para Niños

Se proclama la Palabra del leccionario de niños, K-4.   Se les anima a los niños que reflexionen y apliquen lo que han oído en su vida diaria. Una vez al mes durante la misa de 10:30 a.m.

Sacristans

Purpose/Responsibilities:  The Sacristan is always under the general direction of the clergy. They undertake the overall preparation of items needed for liturgical celebrations such as cruets, chalices, ciboria, linens, oils, processional crosses, candles.

Time/Skills: Scheduled once or twice per month, 20-30 minutes before and after mass.

Ministry of Care

Purpose/Responsibilities:  Serves our parishes infirmed and homebound parishioners, including those in assisted living/care facilities.

Digital Ministry (Liturgical Tech Ministry)

Purpose/Responsibilities:  The Liturgal Tech Ministry operates the technology that is incorporated into the church facility. Ministry members learn to operate the church LED Wall projection system and our Parish Livestream. Tech Ministers present the lyrics and prayers at each of our Sunday Masses.

Time/Skills: scheduled about once a month, 20 minutes before Mass to setup

Arts & Environment

Purpose/Responsibilities: Assist in preparing the interior and exterior of the church for the Christmas and Easter seasons in order to visually enhance the liturgy.

Time/Skills: Liturgical seasons especially Christmas Eve and Holy Saturday.  Artistic eye helpful but not mandatory.

Decoracion-Arts & Environment

Este grupo siguiendo las estaciones litúrgicas especialmente Noche  Buena y Sábado de Gloria, se ocupan de la decoración dentro y fuera de la iglesia .

Tiempo/Requisitos: Tiempos Liturgicos especialmente en Navidad Sabado de Gloria.
